"Any homeowner knows it can be hard to find tradesmen who are honest, competent, and reliable. This is even more difficult when your house doesn't have a run-of-the-mill system. In my case it was a Italian wall-hung boiler with radiators and on-demand domestic hot water. Last spring the circulating pump was noisy, but the problem I couldn't ignore came when we had no hot water. I found Tom Fritcher's name on the Yellow Pages website and called him at 7:10 on a Monday morning. He was at my house at two minutes after eight. He quickly diagnosed the immediate problem of the boiler not lighting, and we had hot water within an hour. Then we got the benefit of Tom's 30 years of experience. The outfit that designed our boiler system left out some critical components, including a valve that automatically adds water to the boiler if needed, the expansion tank, and an air bleeder. Our boiler had been overheating, spilling out the pressure (TMP) valve, and getting air in the lines when I had to add water manually. The problem was getting worse every time I added water. The air pockets were making the water pound inside the boiler, and it was starting to leak. Tom cleaned the boiler, added the missing parts to the system, sealed the leaks, and tested everything when he had it assembled. The boiler was saved, didn't leak, and ran quieter than when it was new. Call him with confidence. Tom Fritcher knows the trade, has the intelligence to figure out a problem, and shows the integrity to not to leave the job until it is complete."

"I called at 8:30am and was surprised to receive a call right back. My brothers furnace hadn't been working correctly for over 3 years. He had surgery and the furnace quit working again.We were looking for someone @ Tom"s reviews made me think we could trust him to be someone who would figure out what was really wrong with this and be fair, Tom and his crew ended up completely reinstalling the furnace and running new duct work to make sure the furnace was finally working correctly for the first time. He went above and beyond and honored his quote, Professional and unheard of service, Thank you for making his furnace work right for t he first time ever and returning until everything was fixed even when you realized how badly someone else had installed the furnace."

"I work the night shift and get home at 12:00am. When I got home I discovered a flood in my basement due to a broken hot water heater and I could not turn off the water that was feeding it. The water just kept pouring out. I called Mr. Fritcher, he came to my house at 1:00 am and got the water turned off without charging me extra for how early in the morning it was.He said he offers emergency service and this was an emergency. He was back at my house by 9:00am with a new hotwater heater for me and replaced the water valve that stuck so I would be able to turn the water on and off if I needed to in the future. He even helped me to clean up the mess caused by the water. He was exceptional and I will use him for everything."

"Incredible Service

A few weeks' ago my furnace would not work , it was still cold and we were having another snow storm. I was worried because my elderly mother lives' with me. I called Fritcher's Heating & plumbing at 8 am. , Mr Fritcher came out in that horrible weather on a Saturday, and was at my home within an hour of my call. I was impressed at how fast he got to us , as well as how polite and knowledgeable he was. He explained everything to me , and asked if I had any question's. You dont' find service like this anymore. Even after the furnace was fixed , Mr Fritcher stayed to make sure that the furnace cycled through and was working properly. I would def. use this company again. And highly recommend them !!!"

"I called Fritchers at 4PM on a hot Saturday. He said he would take a look at my Paloma water heater in about 90 minutes. Tom showed up about 10 minutes after that, but took care of my water heater and everything is working fine. Reasonable price, fast responce, and good service. Would definately recommend, and will use him again if a situation arises."

I am an older person living alone on a fixed income so when I have to call a repair person it is a very scary situation. I needed some plumbing and heating work done to my home and I called Fritcher's. I would very highly recommend this man. He is very honest and dependable. He came to my home and spelled out exactly what needed to be done and wrote out the exact cost. He is very knowledgeable and talented. He gave me a very fair price for what needed to be done. He understood my financial concerns and the strict budget that I was working with. He completed the job he said he would and even went above and beyond what was needed without charging me any extra. Tom came to my house to diagnose and repair my furnace problems. He quoted me a price for the job which was well below what he could've charged for the job he did. He spelled out in his quote exactly what he was going to do and put it in writing. He stuck to his quote although I know he must've gone beyond his initial budget. After relocating my furnace and essentially building a custom duct set-up my house is warm and comfortable. He worked for two days straight and the results are amazing. Not only is his work top-notch and priced fairly, he's a friendly person and very easy to deal with. I recommend him fully and without hesitation."

To illustrate the range of skills Tom has, I will list below the projects he has done for me over the last few years... -installed a central A/C unit -retrofit a half bathroom into what was a closet -renovated a full bathroom -repaired a faulty bathtub drain from the ceiling below -serviced my furnace -moved my washer and dryer from the first floor to the basement and installed both Not only is Tom skilled, he is a good person who always tries to consider his customer's needs and budget accordingly. Tom sticks by his original quote, even if he runs into unforeseen problems. I think so highly of Tom that I handed him the keys to my home to retrofit the half bath while my wife and I vacationed in Hawaii. We left a boring closet with no door and returned to a half bath with custom plumbing, carpentry and mechanicals. Tom is the real deal. His product vs. cost ratio is unbeatable. Fritcher's is awesome! Very impressive. His claim of specializing in troubleshooting difficult to repair furnaces is absolutely correct. I had a problem with my furnace that was hard to diagnose. I had a total of 4 companies come out and try to get my furnace repaired. All four failed. No one was able to figure out what was wrong, by this time my home was so cold there was a thin layer of ice on my floor. I called Fritcher's on a recommendation from my neighbor, and I am glad I did. He came to my house right away and had my furnace fixed with in 1 1/2 hour. He explained exactly what was wrong, how he was going to fix it and the exact cost before he did any work. He is a very honest man and extremely talented. I would highly recommend him. He is the best!"
